A perennial cima coppi of the Giro, the Passo di Gavia is one of the most spectacular climbs of the Italian Alps. With its southern ascent being featured twice before in the Tacx RLV collection, this time we instead ascend its northern flank. Starting from Bormio (the start of the Passo di Stelvio on Tacx T1956.32), variable slopes head up to the resort town of Santa Caterina. From here, the ascent becomes more sustained, culminating with grades approaching 13% before relenting for the last few kilometres to the spectacular summit. A full ride of this RLV is a challenge any Tacx enthusiast should relish, but it is also perfectly suited for a multi-session ride due to a few key respites along its ascent.
